Cookie Policy

How CoffeeCraft Hub uses cookies and similar technologies on coffeecrafthub.one.

Last updated: 26 June 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, maintain session state and understand how visitors interact with pages. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixel tags. This Cookie Policy explains how CoffeeCraft Hub Inc. ("CoffeeCraft Hub," "we," "us" or "our") uses these technologies on coffeecrafthub.one.

CoffeeCraft Hub is a home barista community platform operated from Victoria, British Columbia. We are not a restaurant, bakery, food delivery service or generic social network. Cookies on our site support platform operation and optional analytics — not food ordering or delivery tracking.

2. How we obtain consent

When you first visit coffeecrafthub.one, a cookie banner appears offering three choices: Accept all, Reject all and Customise. This approach aligns with PIPEDA requirements for meaningful consent before collecting personal information through non-essential cookies.

  • Accept all: Enables essential, analytics and marketing cookies described below.
  • Reject all: Enables essential cookies only. Analytics and marketing cookies are not set.
  • Customise: Opens a panel where you toggle analytics and marketing cookies individually before saving preferences.

Your consent choice is stored in a cookie named cch_cookie_consent for six months. After six months, the banner reappears and we request your consent again. You may change preferences at any time by clearing cookies in your browser and revisiting the site, or by contacting [email protected].

3. Categories of cookies we use

3.1 Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled through our consent banner. They do not require consent under Canadian privacy law.

  • cch_cookie_consent — Stores your cookie consent preferences (essential, analytics, marketing). Duration: 6 months. Purpose: honour your consent choices and prevent repeated banner display within the consent period.
  • Session cookies — Maintain form state and security tokens during your visit. Duration: session (deleted when browser closes). Purpose: secure platform operation.

3.2 Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use coffeecrafthub.one — which pages are visited, how long users stay and whether navigation paths reveal usability issues. These cookies are set only if you choose Accept all or enable analytics in Customise.

  • _cch_analytics — Anonymous page view and interaction tracking. Duration: 12 months. Purpose: aggregate traffic analysis to improve community platform usability.
  • _cch_session_id — Distinguishes unique visits without identifying individuals. Duration: 30 minutes of inactivity. Purpose: session-level analytics grouping.

Analytics data is aggregated and not used to build individual profiles for advertising purposes.

3.3 Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of community outreach campaigns and program promotion. These cookies are set only if you choose Accept all or enable marketing in Customise. CoffeeCraft Hub does not serve third-party advertising on coffeecrafthub.one.

  • _cch_campaign — Tracks referral source for program registration campaigns. Duration: 90 days. Purpose: measure outreach effectiveness for Challenge 01 and cohort programs.

4. Third-party cookies

We load Google Fonts (Space Grotesk and Inter) from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google may set cookies or collect usage data according to its own privacy policy. We selected Google Fonts for typography performance; no advertising cookies are intentionally deployed through this integration.

We do not embed social media tracking pixels, advertising networks or third-party analytics platforms beyond those described in this policy. If this changes, we will update this page and request renewed consent where required.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers allow you to view, manage and delete cookies through settings. Instructions vary by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Blocking all cookies may prevent the consent banner from remembering your choice and could affect form functionality on the contact page. Essential cookies are required for basic site operation.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. CoffeeCraft Hub currently responds to our cookie consent banner rather than DNT signals, as there is no universal standard for DNT compliance. If you reject optional cookies through our banner, analytics and marketing cookies will not be set regardless of DNT settings.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove or change cookies on coffeecrafthub.one. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If new cookie categories require consent, we will reset consent records and display the banner again.
