Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about joining CoffeeCraft Hub, submitting brew logs and participating in community programs.
No. CoffeeCraft Hub is a home barista community platform operated by CoffeeCraft Hub Inc., a British Columbia corporation. We do not prepare or serve food, operate a bakery, deliver beverages or function as a general-purpose social network. Our platform exists exclusively for home espresso enthusiasts, filter brew practitioners and community challenge participants who want to share recipes, dial-in notes and honest cup ratings in a focused environment.
Submit the contact form on our Contact page with the subject "Join the community." We will send registration instructions within two business days. Basic membership is free and grants access to all four community lanes — Espresso, Filter, Challenges and Ratings — plus the recipe archive and downloadable resources.
Any home brewing setup qualifies. Members use hand grinders, moka pots, AeroPress brewers, pour-over drippers and prosumer espresso machines. We ask that you document your equipment in brew logs so others can contextualize your grind settings and extraction times. No minimum gear tier is required.
Each brew log can receive independent scores on five attributes: aroma, sweetness, acidity, body and aftertaste. Each attribute uses a five-dot rail where filled dots represent the score. Moderators audit ratings for duplicate accounts and suspicious inflation. A recipe card displays an aggregate score only after three verified community reviews.
Challenge 01 — Filter Clarity — asks members to brew a single-origin coffee using any manual filter method. You must document dose, water temperature, bloom ratio, total brew time and submit a three-minute tasting video with scoring sheet. Entries close 15 August 2026. See our Programs page for full rubric details.
Core community access, recipe archive browsing and community rating sessions are free. Structured cohort programs like the Espresso Dial-In Cohort carry a registration fee to cover moderator time and limited cohort sizes. Workshop series and Challenge 01 participation are free for registered members.
Our office at 836 Yates Street, Suite 502, Victoria, BC is administrative only — we do not operate a café or public tasting room. Visits are by appointment. For most inquiries, email [email protected] or use the contact form.
Flag content through the platform or contact form. Moderators review flagged posts within 48 hours on business days. They may edit, remove or annotate content that violates the Hub Charter — including sponsored gear promotion, personal attacks or off-topic posts unrelated to home brewing technique.
No. CoffeeCraft Hub does not sell roasted coffee, green beans, grinders, espresso machines or any physical products. We occasionally reference equipment in educational context but accept no sponsorships or affiliate commissions. Our revenue comes from optional paid cohort programs only.
